The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to fly a bit under the radar heading into the 2023 NFL season, with a lot of the attention in the AFC North going to the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens.

Although the Steelers are expected to be a force to be reckoned with during the upcoming season, the three other teams are getting all the attention for different reasons, with the division likely being one of the most competitive in the NFL in 2023.

One of the reasons for optimism in Pittsburgh is quarterback Kenny Pickett potentially being the real deal under center for the storied franchise, as the team has a lot of confidence that he can be the face of the team in the post-Ben Roethlisberger era.

If Pickett is expected to be the next star quarterback in Pittsburgh, he’ll need the receivers to help him get the job done, and he seems to have that with wideout George Pickens leading the way.

Pickens made a remarkable catch during a scrimmage in practice recently to back up a claim of his own greatness, via FOX Sports: NFL on Twitter.

There’s no doubt that the catch was incredible, with few players in the league today that could actually make that grab, but the “best-in-the-world” label might be a bit of a stretch and a little premature for the second-year wide receiver.

Last season, Pickens played in all 17 regular-season games for the Steelers, finishing with 52 catches for 801 yards and four touchdowns, which is a solid start for a young wideout in the NFL.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can take his game to another level in 2023 while potentially becoming Pickett’s favorite target in the passing game.
