Dwight Howard has played on seven NBA teams throughout his tenure in the league.

Given the number of franchises that he’s played for, Howard has experienced a lot of different teammates in his time.

Two of those teammates were Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, as he played with both at different eras with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Given the historic nature of the franchise and the elite play of both Bryant and James, Howard has a lot of stories to tell.

In a recent conversation shared via Clutch Points, Howard was asked about the differences between playing with two of the league’s best players.

He began his response with, “I was at two different stages of my life and career.”

“[LeBron’s] joking, silly, have a good time… Kobe ain’t bullsh*tting with nobody. He might not come to the locker room to talk.”

While playing with Bryant, Howard said that he “felt highly of myself,” and considered himself to be in his prime.

Howard and Bryant played together for the 2012-2013 season, right after his tenure with the Orlando Magic.

He also said that he “never had a superstar teammate,” which came with its own set of challenges.

Bryant and Howard butted heads a bit, which Howard mainly attributed to his youth, and general mindset at the time.

When discussing his time as a teammate with James, Howard said, “LeBron almost acts like somebody from the south side of Georgia.”

Howard described their relationship as more light-hearted, but, when it came down to it, he and James were a dominant force on the court.

Howard experienced life with two different superstars and two completely different outcomes.
