Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone had every right to be happy after his team won the Finals.

For years now, they have come close to postseason greatness.

But they were finally able to capitalize and earn their first championship victory back in June.

Following their defeat of the Miami Heat, the Nuggets took to the streets of Denver for a major parade and party.

During that parade, Malone cut loose and was clearly having a wonderful time.

Some people might say his behavior and his comments were slightly unprofessional but Malone doesn’t think so – and neither does Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Speaking on Zach Lowe’s show on ESPN, Malone said that Kerr reached out to him following the parade.

“I loved every minute of it, good for you,” Kerr allegedly told Malone after his title parade celebration.

Of all the coaches in the league, Malone has some of the most reasons to be elated by his team’s big win.

He took the job in Denver after being fired by the Sacramento Kings back in the 2014-15 season.

But his tenure in Denver hasn’t been entirely easy.

The team has faced multiple obstacles, including several of their biggest stars being hurt for months at a time.

Malone hasn’t changed his approach to coaching the team, however.

He has stuck with the game plan he had from the beginning and knew that eventually, it would pay off.

It finally did last season and Malone was overjoyed by that – and he let the fans see it.

Now Malone’s plans are to try to repeat the success the Nuggets just found.

He wants many more rowdy championship parades in the city of Denver.
