Going from one coach and one system to another is always hard for NFL players, especially young ones.

Even so, the Miami Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa fared more than decently in their first year with Mike McDaniel as head coach.

That’s why in a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, the Alabama product showed his excitement about the upcoming campaign, stating that he expects everything to be better now that they already know the system, the offense, and even their coach’s trends and preferences as a play-caller.

Tagovailoa is coming off the best season of his career, up to the point where he was one of the midseason MVP candidates before all the injuries and concussions piled up.

The early years of his career weren’t that encouraging, but the team has stood by him and has made it more than clear that they’re ready to ride with him for the foreseeable future.

Tua could be playing for an extension next season, so the timing couldn’t be better for him, as quarterbacks usually take a big leap forward when they’re in the second season under the same system.

The Dolphins had an explosive passing game with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle wreaking havoc in the open field, and that’s not going to change for as long as they healthy.

The division only got more complicated with Aaron Rodgers’ arrival to the New York Jets, but the Dolphins are still confident in their ability to make it back to the playoffs in 2023.
