The Dallas Mavericks could be one of the toughest teams in the league next season.
Besides making sure to keep Kyrie Irving locked up for the future, they made some major moves to revamp their defense and surround him and Luka Doncic with some physical players.
On top of that, Doncic seems to be in the best shape of his career, and it seems like Kyrie is really enjoying watching him play like this.
That’s why he took to Instagram to share a clip of his teammate dominating while playing with the Slovenian national team, and it seems like he’s quite excited to play with him for years to come, via ClutchPoints.
“Stare down type crazy Luka Doncic lol I love the energy.”

There were some rumors and reports about how Irving’s presence could drive Luka away from the team.
However, team owner Mark Cuban has gone on record to make it loud and clear that the Mavs are Luka’s team still, adding that Kyrie is on board with that idea too.
Having two ball-dominant players could be tough, especially when the game is on the line and the coach needs to draw up a play for one or the other, as egos could always stand in the way.
But if Irving and Doncic find a way to coexist on the court, and coach Jason Kidd manages to hide their obvious defensive flaws, there’s no reason to think this new-look Mavericks team couldn’t make it out of the Western Conference and be actual NBA championship contenders for the next five years or so.
