Training camp has officially begun for all 32 NFL teams.

This includes the reigning Super Bowl champions, as the Kansas City Chiefs are training and working diligently to retain their title.

While much of the team works together at camp, Chris Jones’ absence has been noted.

Jones is in the midst of contract negotiations with the Chiefs.

To this point, he still hasn’t shown up to camp, and many believe he will not attend until an extension is reached.

Jones hasn’t necessarily spoken out against the Chiefs during this time but has posted several cryptic messages.

In his most recent Instagram story via NFL Unlimited, Jones shared the lyrics, “Guess all good things must come to an end.”

This could mean a lot of things, including nothing.

Players of Jones’ caliber are well-aware that their actions are seen by all, and every post is hyper-analyzed, especially by fans.

This could indicate he’s ready to move on from the Chiefs, especially if his contract isn’t resolved promptly.

Jones is only tied to the Chiefs for the 2023 season and is due $19.5 million this season per Spotrac.

He was one of the league’s top defenders in 2022, finishing as a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Even though he didn’t take home the honors, it’s an impressive accomplishment nonetheless.

The Chiefs have been mostly quiet about these negotiations, but have indicated that they would like to get a deal done.

Jones was a cornerstone of their defense last season and a vital piece of this championship-winning roster.
