The New Orleans Saints have been busy during the offseason.

They made one of the first moves during this time, signing Derek Carr to a four-year, $150 million contract.

Subsequent moves have also been made in an attempt to improve their roster.

According to a recent report from Adam Schefter via Ari Meriov, the Saints signed Cameron Jordan to a two-year, $27.5 million extension.

Just in: The #Saints and DE Cameron Jordan have reached an agreement on a 2-year, $27.5M contract extension, per @AdamSchefter.

Jordan is 34 years old, and it appears that he’ll finish out his career with the Saints.

As Meirov mentions, Jordan is a fan favorite, not only within the Saints fanbase but around the league as well.

His dominance on the field has followed him throughout his career, which he’ll look to continue into the 2023 season.

Jordan has accomplished at least 7.5 sacks in each of the last 11 seasons, and is a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line.

If he’s able to get to that level again this year, the Saints’ investment will more than pay off.

Many have predicted that, with Carr as their starter, the Saints have a fantastic opportunity to finish first in the NFC South this season.

He has plenty of talent around him on the offense, and the division, as a whole, has gotten weaker.

The NFC South will likely have at least two new starting quarterbacks, which could lead to early-season struggles.

With that in mind, Jordan, Carr, and the rest of the Saints’ roster could greatly benefit.
