Analyst Has A Message For Daniel Jones’ Doubters

The New York Giants were far from good in the first years with Daniel Jones under center.

The team did right by declining his fifth-year option, as he hadn’t shown anything to prove that he could be a starting-caliber quarterback in the NFL.

One year under Brian Daboll was just what he needed to show glimpses of great play, and while some might argue he’s now one of the most overpaid players in the league, the Giants could’ve done a lot worse.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Jaime Erdhal recently claimed that Giants fans should broaden their minds and be satisfied with the guy they have locked in right now, as he’s much better than some of the other guys in the league.

Moreover, she claimed that Jones’ growth is ‘admirable,’ and pointed out the fact that the Giants have won more games every season with him as the starter.

Some believe he’s going to have a similar development to Josh Allen, granted that Daboll was one of the main reasons for his breakout, and they seemingly have similar body types.

That could be a lot to ask, and the NFC East is no longer one of the worst divisions in the league, so it’s easy to understand why some people still have doubts about him.

But the arrow is trending up in terms of production and the eye test, and he’ll now have a big chip on his shoulder to prove that he’s not overpaid after all the noise he’s heard in the offseason.
