There are few people in the NBA like Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers.
When healthy, the big man puts up some impressive numbers and is able to seemingly block just about any shot.
A.C. Green has a long history in the NBA and has seen many of its biggest stars.
When asked by Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson who Davis reminds him of, Green had a very flattering answer.
“AD has a little bit of Dirk Nowitzki in him. He has a little bit of Karl Malone from a power standpoint at times in the paint. He’s big and dominant,” Green said on “Scoop B Selects” on YouTube.
However, he added that Davis has “his own little niche” and it is hard to really compare him to anyone else.
Davis is surely happy with the comparison to both Nowitzki and Malone, two of the most legendary stars in the history of the league.
When you look at his career so far, Davis has racked up some very impressive honors.
He is an eight-time All-Star, a three-time blocks champion, four-time All-Defensive player, and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
He also, of course, won a championship with his Lakers in 2020.
Davis still receives some negative comments from fans because of his unfortunate history of getting injured.
But most people understand that even with that, Davis is one of the best big men in the league.
Sure, his injuries are frustrating but they don’t detract from his skill.
And Green’s comparison to other historic players seems very appropriate at times.
