The Brooklyn Nets have a blossoming star in Cam Thomas, but they have yet to unleash him.
They gave him extended opportunities when their roster was depleted with injuries and following the Kevin Durant trade, and it didn’t take long before he put the league on notice.
His scoring prowess helped him get a stretch of high-scoring games, to which the Chicago Bulls put an end.
In a recent interview for “The SchuZ Show,” the LSU product revealed that Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams have been the guys that have played the best defense against him thus far in the league (via Nets Kingdom).

Thomas also made it clear that he hasn’t played much in the league yet, throwing a little dart to coach Jacque Vaughn to let him know he’s not satisfied with the lack of playing time.
This isn’t the first time that Thomas has had a similar comment, as he once took a shot at coach Steve Nash for wanting him to be more of a playmaker.
You can tell that Thomas has a tough character, and the offensive talent is more than undeniable.
The Nets need to find ways to compete and get as many young players on the floor as they can, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see Thomas be their primary scoring option going forward, with Mikal Bridges leading the way on the defensive end of the floor.
Maybe, he’ll get to be guarded by some of the elite defenders in the league, and he’ll change this answer sooner rather than later.
