Over the last couple of weeks, the Seattle Mariners are showing their true colors.

For months, they were fourth in the AL West behind the Texas Rangers, the Houston Astros, and even the Los Angeles Angels.

They didn’t look like the team that won a playoff series last year and gave the Astros trouble in the Division Series.

However, time puts things in their right place, and we are now seeing the true version of the Mariners: a talented team that is capable of going on a heater at any given period.

With another victory against the San Diego Padres and a fantastic first start by rookie Emerson Hancock, the M’s have now won seven in a row.

They have their entire rotation pitching admirably, they have Julio Rodriguez stealing home runs and the defense making plays, and they have a surging offense that has been scoring a lot recently.

Seattle has not only won its last seven contests, but also 10 of their last 12.

Since the start of July, the Mariners are 24-10.

Things are starting to click, and they are now 62-52 for the season.

As things stand right now, Seattle is just two games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the third and final American League Wild Card spot.

However, that’s not all: after watching from afar how the Rangers and Astros fought for the division for months, they are now just 5.5 games behind the former.

It’s not out of the question that Seattle fights for the AL West until the very end.

It has been an amazing turnaround for the franchise.
