Following a remarkable four-year career at UCF and after becoming an internet sensation, the Boston Celtics gave undrafted free agent Tacko Fall a chance.

Fall immediately became a fan favorite, and the TD Garden roared his name every time their team played garbage time, so the amicable giant could set foot on the court.

He was there from 2019 to 2021 before signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, spending plenty of time with their G-Leauge affiliate before trying his luck overseas to play for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.

Fall attempted an NBA comeback and was a part of the Milwaukee Bucks Summer League roster but failed to make the team, and Shams Charania of The Athletic recently reports that he’ll head back to China, this time to play for the Nanjing Monkey Kings.

7’6 Tacko Fall is signing a new deal to return to China to play for the Nanjing Monkey Kings, sources say.

Born in Dakar, Senegal, Fall was a complete force of nature.

Standing at 7-foot-6, 311 pounds, he was a force to be reckoned with in college as one of the most dominant shot-blockers and rebounders in the nation, and he even led the G-League in blocks once and made it to two G-league All-Defensive teams.

Nonetheless, his lack of speed and mobility often left him exposed on the next level.

And while some argue he could provide some depth for NBA teams, it’s hard to envision a franchise overlooking the injury concerns and evident limitations to his game to give him another chance.

I’m sorry, NBA fans, but this might be the last we hear of Tacko Fall in the league.
