The Indianapolis Colts have been in the news a lot lately.

They are in a reported dispute with Jonathan Taylor over a contract, who has requested a trade from the team.

Jordan Schultz has reported another story, however, and it’s not about Taylor’s current contract.

According to Schultz, the Colts are slated to bring in Ronnie Harrison Jr. for a workout.

As Schultz highlights, Harrison has five career interceptions, 223 total tackles, and nine tackles for loss.

2023 will be Harrison’s sixth NFL season and has spent the last three years with the Cleveland Browns.

If the Colts sign him, Harrison might not be in-line to be a starter right away.

However, he could be a depth piece for a team that’s known for its elite defense.

With any luck, Harrison could grow and develop in the Colts’ organization, learning from veteran defenders.

Having depth in the NFL is important, especially with players that have NFL experience.

Even though Harrison’s stats don’t necessarily jump off the page, he’s done enough to warrant a workout.

The Colts are looking to 2023 with heightened expectations, especially after a down year in 2022.

They selected Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in this year’s draft, a sign the organization is ready to move on to a new franchise QB.

Richardson could provide significant upside to an offense that has been craving a playmaker.

Will the Colts find greater success in 2023, knowing the amount of adjustments they’ve made in the offseason?

And, will Harrison get signed, getting a chance with a new team?
