The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t made it back to the NBA Finals since 2001, and they haven’t won an NBA championship since 1983.

And while they’ve gone through some major ups and downs to try and put an end to that drought over the past decade, it seems like they’ve either been unlucky or quite mismanaged year after year.

That’s why, following the James Harden debacle, Sixers insider Derek Bodner shared some of the worst decisions and things that have happened to the organization every offseason since 2013 (via NBA Central).

First, he talks about them trading Jrue Holiday in 2013 despite being one of the rising stars of the league just so they could tank.

Then, they would draft two players who wouldn’t play, most likely talking about Nemanja Dangubić and Vasilije Micić, not to mention the fact that Joel Embiid didn’t even play a single minute in his rookie season.

Then, they drafted their third straight center in Jahlil Okafor, who was a bust.

The next year, the Sixers hired their advisor’s son, Bryan Colangelo, as their GM.

In 2017, their No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz struggled, followed by an investigation into Colangelo for criticizing Joel Embiid, Jahlil Okafor, and his predecessor Sam Hinkie using multiple burner accounts on social media.

Then, they lost Jimmy Butler.

The following year, they fired Brett Brown, replaced him with Doc Rivers, and then got Daryl Morey as their GM.

In 2021, Ben Simmons demanded to be traded, followed by a tampering investigation, and now another star wants out of the team.

When will it end?
