Taking a look at their current roster, it seems like the only thing that could hold the Baltimore Ravens back in 2023 would be a string of injuries.
Hopefully, Marlon Humphrey’s situation will be an isolated case and it won’t lead to that, as they’ve already gotten off to a bad start to the season.
According to a report by Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Pro Bowl cornerback is set to undergo foot surgery, meaning that he’s set to miss a little over a month.
#Ravens All-Pro CB Marlon Humphrey is dealing with a foot injury and he’s expected to have surgery today, sources say. The hope is he’s back in a little over a month. So, out for the first couple games. https://t.co/gkCiVoGuI3

That rules him out for the first two games of the season (vs. the Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively), at the very least.
Humphrey could be back on the field for the Ravens’ showdown vs. the Indianapolis Colts and rookie sensation Anthony Richardson if there are no setbacks in his recovery.
Of course, this is a significant loss for the Ravens.
The former first-round pick has been a mainstay among the league’s most dominant cornerbacks since he entered the league, making the Pro Bowl three times.
He’s coming off posting three sacks, 71 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and three interceptions last season, playing 17 games for the Ravens.
The team still has a chance to add more depth in free agency, but it’s not like there are that many options at this point in the offseason.
