The New York Jets have jokingly been referred to as the ‘New York Packers,’ or ‘Green Bay Jets’ throughout the offseason.
Several former Packers have joined the roster, including Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb.
Ari Meirov has recently done some detective work, showcasing another Packers player that Rodgers may be recruiting.
Rodgers shared an Instagram post of him and Garrett Wilson, highlighting his appreciation for number 17.
However, as Meirov points out, Rodgers also tagged David Bakhtiari in this post.
Didn’t realize this initially, but Aaron Rodgers also tagged David Bakhtiari in this post — tagged him on his rear end to be exact. https://t.co/iy0J58c7ad pic.twitter.com/bBwZCfkTxq

Rodgers and Bakhtiari have a noted friendship that stemmed from their time together with the Packers.
The two have been spotted in Green Bay together on numerous occasions, with Bakhtiari even buying Rodgers a golf cart.
Bakhtiari is still tied to the Packers until the 2024 season.
While he is not a free agent, the Jets could trade for him, if recent trends are any indication.
Rodgers is seemingly well-liked within the Jets’ organization, and to this point, they’ve catered to his wishes.
Take Cobb, for instance.
Cobb is an aging receiver, someone the Jets didn’t need on their roster given their current receivers.
However, because he’s a close friend of Rodgers, they signed him anyway.
Will the same happen with Bakhtiari?
Recent news has surfaced about the health of Mekhi Becton, one of the Jets’ offensive linemen.
He missed the entire 2022 season, and his status for 2023 is in jeopardy.
This has slightly opened the window for a potential Bakhtiari trade, but it’s unclear if the Packers are willing to trade away one of their best pieces.
