Lately, nothing seems to be going right for the New York Yankees.
This was a team that was expected to be a clear postseason contender.
However, the season has gone off the rails as they now sit under .500 for the latest in a season since September 1995.
The division title is all but out of reach, while they sit 6.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot.
New York is also in last place in the American League East.
On Twitter, one Yankees fan commented on how things have fallen apart for the team and compared them to the Houston Astros, who continue to truck along.
The arrogance of the Yankees sticking to a stale process with an even more stale winter that didn’t address their issues got them to where they are today — below .500.
To put that arrogance into context, just compare what they did in the off-season to what another team in the AL… pic.twitter.com/iicWLIXnPb

The fan called out the team’s ownership group and GM Brian Cashman for sticking with a “stale” process that was followed by a relatively quiet offseason, which has led the Yankees to where they are now.
He also called out the Yankees for being complacent and unwilling to change.
On the opposite side of the coin, the Astros changed general managers after winning their second World Series title last year.
James Click was fired and later replaced by Dana Brown.
Brown came from the Atlanta Braves, which is another well-run organization.
The fan praised the Astros for being willing to adapt and doing their best to avoid being complacent.
At the same time, the Yankees were eliminated by the Astros in the ALCS last year, and despite that, they have stayed the course.
Now, New York is at risk of missing the postseason for the first time since 2016.
