There has been a lot of chatter about the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the season, and rightfully so.

Everybody had plenty of things to say about Lamar Jackson’s contract dispute and eventual deal, and the massive contract they gave Odell Beckham Jr. as well.

However, despite all the new faces and investments they made, perhaps drafting Zay Flowers was the most impactful move of all.

At least, that’s what OBJ seems to think, as he recently took to Twitter to express just how excited he is about the rookie (Via theScore).

Flowers has been one of the most hyped players during training camp, turning heads left and right from the beginning.

There were some doubts about his size — or lack thereof — but his numbers at Boston College were more than remarkable.

For years, the Ravens had struggled to find a reliable player at the wide receiver position, making it quite hard for Jackson and the passing game.

That shouldn’t be the case anymore, with Rashod Bateman, OBJ, and Flowers taking some pressure off Mark Andrews’ shoulders.

Todd Monken has been one of the best offensive coordinators in the collegiate scene for quite a while, and he looks perfectly suited for the Ravens’ job.

Their offense was one-dimensional under Greg Roman, and it’s evident that he just wasn’t on the same page with his quarterback.

There will be no more room for excuses in Baltimore, and anything short of a trip to the AFC Championship Game should be considered a failed season.
