It has been some time since we have seen Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls play basketball.

But there is no doubt that he is a bonafide talent and has been for years.

In fact, he was garnering a large following even when he was playing back in high school.

Speaking on the From The Point Pod with Trae Young, Ball talked about just how much attention he and his brother received while playing at Chino Hills High School.

“When I first knew I could make the NBA was like seventh grade. My senior year was like a movie. I mean, when LaMelo came people were scoping tickets for hundreds of dollars. It was pretty wild,” Ball said, according to Legion Hoops.

Ball and his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo were the kings of Chino Hills.

They were so popular that they were all considered NBA prospects even before they had the ability to get a driver’s license.

Basketball fans were eager to see what the Ball brothers could do.

The word-of-mouth about them was immense, partly powered by the hard work of their ambitious father, Lavar.

Between Lavar’s desire for publicity and the high expectations, some people didn’t think that any of the Ball brothers would live up to the hype.

But since then, they have all found their own versions of success.

It’s been a tough road for Lonzo recently, as the Bulls star tore his meniscus in January and has not been on the court since.

Even with multiple surgeries and rehabilitation, Ball is not closer to playing again.

Some people have even suggested that his days in the NBA may be over.

That would be a big shame because Ball has been a truly talented star, even since his days in high school.
