San Francisco 49ers fans breathed a sigh of relief during a recent preseason game.
Brock Purdy returned to play in this contest, showing he’s back and ready to reclaim his role as the team’s starter.
When asked about his resurgence, according to Around the NFL, Purdy said, “It felt really good just to be out there with the guys in a game environment.”

While he didn’t play much in this contest, Purdy’s final stat line included four completions for 65 yards.
This included a 25-yard play to Deebo Samuel, showing fans his arm is more than capable.
UCL injuries can sometimes be devastating for quarterbacks, given the duress their shoulders are under.
Quarterbacks constantly use this part of their arm, leading to eventual breakdown if measures aren’t taken.
Thankfully for Purdy, team doctors have cleared him, and his teammates have embraced him as their starter.
Kyle Shanahan was also asked about Purdy, who said, “All the plays that he had made and I don’t think he had a bad one.”
Shanahan remarked on Purdy’s throwing ability, which he believes is back to normal.
With this hype in mind, the 49ers appear to have their starting quarterback in place.
This quells a potential quarterback competition between Sam Darnold and Trey Lance, who will now compete for the backup role.
After making it to the NFC Championship last season, the 49ers are working tirelessly to make it back there.
The defense has constantly been strong, and if Purdy comes back with a vengeance, their ceiling is limitless.
