The Philadelphia 76ers are going through a complicated moment right now.

James Harden went on record to call GM Daryl Morey a liar, stating that he would never play for an organization he’s a part of again.

Those comments obviously didn’t go unnoticed, and while he created mayhem within the organization, he will also be punished for them.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the league decided to fine him $100,000 for those statements.

The NBA is fining Sixers star James Harden $100,000 for his recent comments referring to franchise president Daryl Morey as a “liar,” sources tell ESPN.

Ironically, Morey has signed him to most of his contracts since he became a star, so Harden has more than plenty of cash to spare, and he definitely knew that fine was coming.

Despite his words, Harden is still expected to partake in the team’s training camp.

According to Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN, he’s willing to go the extra mile to make the situation as uncomfortable and unattainable as humanly possible, all while not giving up any more money.

Morey already went through something similar with Ben Simmons, although the situation with the young guard was different because the team was able to withhold some of his pay while he was holding out.

That won’t be the case with Harden, who has proven to have a bag of moves to get traded as deep as his bag of moves to get to the basket.

Harden is reportedly keen to force his way to the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Clippers haven’t been all that serious in their pursuit of him, so it’ll be hard to see that deal getting done any time soon.
