In yet another edition of two rival NFL teams practicing together, players from the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts got tangled into a fight.
According to a report by Dov Kleiman, there were two different altercations during Tuesday’s joint practice sessions.

The first scuffle involved Eagles DE Derek Barnett, who reportedly threw a punch at Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson while attempting to knock the football onto the ground.
Apparently, that led to benches clearing and multiple players being held back.
Notably, Eagles first-round pick Jalen Carter was reportedly among the most heated, and it took several people to contain him.
Carter reportedly rushed toward the center of the fight and had to be restrained by multiple teammates to prevent this incident from escalating even further.
This is no minor detail, as there were plenty of red flags about Carter’s character throughout the NFL Draft process, which — ironically — made him slip right to the Eagles.
Later in practice, future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce reportedly blindsided a Colts defender after a cheap shot on RB Kenneth Gainwell, with another brawl taking place shortly after.
This isn’t the first time that two teams get into it during joint practices, and it definitely won’t be the last, either, even if the players tangled up in the incidents face any sort of discipline.
This has become a common practice, and it’s hard to think of a worse idea than having two highly-competitive teams that don’t like each other sharing the field.
