Damian Lillard has been a massive talking point during the NBA offseason.
After requesting a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers and naming the Miami Heat as his No. 1 option, the rumor mill has run rampant.
Fans and pundits have concocted their best trade proposals, hoping Lillard moves on to the Heat.
While these mock proposals are amusing, they don’t have any merit without additional information from both sides.
In a recently shared post from Clutch Points via Brett Siegel, the Heat seem insistent on keeping Tyler Herro should a trade take place.

This article is taken with a grain of salt, given these trade talks haven’t yet been publicized.
However, if the Heat acquires Lillard, they’d allegedly like Herro to remain as part of their core lineup.
Herro was a massive piece to this team last year, one of the biggest reasons they made it to the NBA Finals.
He is one of the team’s best shooters, and his ability to hit deep threes has kept the Heat alive in many games.
However, if the Trail Blazers are willing to part with Lillard, it’s nearly a guarantee they will want Herro as a part of this trade package.
When the rubber meets the road, the Heat could face a tough decision.
They might have to choose between Lillard and Herro if that is what the deal comes down to.
Herro has been an emerging star for the organization, while Lillard is a bonafide elite player in this league.
Whatever the case, with the season just around the corner, the clock is ticking.
