The New York Jets have stolen all the headlines this offseason with their acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, but across the way, the New York Giants look like a sleeper team in 2023.

The Giants were more competitive than people expected and they finished with a 9-7-1 record that earned them a playoff spot.

Although the Giants lost in the Wild Card Round to their rivals the Philadelphia Eagles, ending what should still be considered a successful year.

Going into next season, the Giants will be looking to compete in the NFC and have a better shot considering how wide-open the conference looks.

The San Francisco 49ers and Eagles are the early favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but the Giants could loom as a threat given the talent on their roster.

Colin Cowherd is one media person who believes that the Giants could surprise the NFL and even have a better season than the Jets via his show Herd with Colin Cowherd.

Cowherd lays out his argument for the Giants over the Jets by discussing a side-by-side panel of the teams.

He explains that the Giants have an offensive-minded head coach in Brian Daboll who has been able to turn Daniel Jones into a competent quarterback, as well as the momentum of last season’s playoff appearance.

The other important factor is the difference in strength of the two conferences as the AFC looks much more difficult than the NFC right now.

The Giants could certainly make some noise this year, though the same could definitely be said of the Jets.
