The San Francisco 49ers finished the 2022 season with a 13-4 record, a commanding lead in the NFC West.
While many analysts believe the 49ers’ combination of stars on both sides of the ball is the ticket to another divisional victory, Peter Schrager voiced his take for another team.
In a recent segment on Colin Cowherd’s show on FS1, Schrager gave the Seattle Seahawks high praise.
Schrager said, “When everyone just hands the division title to the San Francisco 49ers, I would say hold off.”

The 49ers are a popular pick among many top analysts to not only win the division but also to make a run at the NFC’s crown as well.
However, Schrager remained confident in Seattle’s ability to compete, citing the amount of talent they have added.
He also mentioned the Seahawks are returning many players from injury, a definite boosting factor for their roster.
Geno Smith outperformed all expectations in year one as their starter, and the team extended him as a result of his spectacular play.
They have also begun to build around him, drafting Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Zach Charbonnet.
The Seahawks’ defense looks to be strong as well, giving them a chance at a very well-rounded team.
Ultimately, there are a lot of factors that come into play throughout an NFL season.
As Schrager mentioned, there is typically at least one team that comes out of nowhere, shocking analysts and fans alike.
Can the Seahawks’ revamped roster be one of those teams, dethroning the 49ers for the NFC West title?
