For years, C.J. Stroud was one of the most sought-after prospects, and he was destined to make it to the NFL once his time came.
He thrived at Ohio State and even made a case for being the No. 1 pick in this class, but Bryce Young’s rise to stardom made him settle for No. 2.
Whatever the case, it didn’t take long before Stroud impressed his coaching staff, and he just keeps getting better.
Recently, Texans DC Matt Burke raved about his ball placement, stating that there’s just not much you can do against some of the throws he makes (via DJ Bien-Aime).
CJ Stroud ball placement is something the coaching staff raves about.

“There’s a couple in practice where you’re scratching your head and saying there’s not much you can do about that.”

Stroud was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in college during his days with the Buckeyes, and even though he didn’t look as sharp in the preseason, there’s no reason to think he cannot become a superstar at the next level.
The Texans are a work in progress, and they still need to put together a decent offensive line around him.
But even if they have one of the worst records in the league again this season, they should feel pretty confident about themselves and their future, as finding a building block at the quarterback position is often the most difficult task.
The Texans made the right move by hiring Demeco Ryans as their next coach, as he’ll look to develop a winning culture, so it’s an exciting time to be a Texans fan.
