Plenty of people have opinions about James Harden’s current battle with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Some people think Harden is being too hard on Sixers president Daryl Morey while others believe he is well within his right to demand a trade.
NBA star Danny Green thinks that Harden needs to give the 76ers another chance and believes not doing so will only hurt his current teammates.
Speaking to Fubo Sports, Green said, “I think James needs to come back and play…It’s only going to be hurting the guys in the locker room.”
Green thinks that Morey actually has Harden’s best interests at heart and believes that the two of them need to sit down, hash things out, and come to an agreement.
He also thinks that Harden owes Philadelphia fans, and his teammates, at least one more season to see if they can make things work.
Additionally, deciding to put the past behind him and play for the Sixers next season will ensure that Harden doesn’t violate any contractual obligations and will also open him up for a big contract in the future.
Green makes some fair points, but will Harden listen to him?
One thing has become abundantly clear over the last few weeks: Harden is determined to leave the Sixers and doesn’t mind a messy exit.
He doesn’t necessarily care who he upsets or what this all does to his future contracts, he wants his demands met now.
But the process of being traded has now screeched to a halt and Harden might not get his way before the new season starts.
Will he re-think his plans when training camp arrives?
