It’s the dawn of a new era for the New Orleans Saints.
The transition from one Hall of Famer quarterback to anybody else is always tough, and they haven’t been the exception to that rule.
Add the same for the Head Coach, and it’s easy to understand why no one has thought of the Saints as legit Super Bowl contenders for years now.
However, linebacker Demario Davis believes it’s time for people to start noticing them.
He claims that they all have a ‘different swag’ this season, stating that the fans should be very excited about the upcoming campaign (via The Score).

Notably, some analysts have named the Saints as potential dark horses to make some noise out of the NFC South, and it makes sense.
For starters, they shouldn’t find much trouble getting out of their division, considering the fact that the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers should all struggle to compete next season.
Derek Carr will have a huge chip on his shoulder.
He was the Las Vegas Raiders’ scapegoat, and it doesn’t seem like he gets the respect he deserves despite the numbers he’s posted since he entered the league.
But even if he’s not a top-tier quarterback by any means, he should still do better than Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston.
They might not be ready to go all the way yet, but they could surprise plenty of people in 2023.
