The Dallas Cowboys have had plenty of talent on both sides of the field, yet they can’t seem to be able to get over the hump.
And while decision-making and coaching have had a lot to do with their shortcomings, it’s time they finally hold Dak Prescott accountable in the Big D as well.
In the latest edition of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith didn’t hesitate to call the Dak Prescott era a failure, stating that the Cowboys haven’t even made it to an NFC Championship Game with him at the helm despite all the talent he’s been surrounded with.
Prescott has a 2-4 record in the postseason.
Stephen A. also pointed out the fact that, since 2016, Brock Purdy and even Blake Bortles — who’s no longer even in the league — have as many playoff wins as Dak Prescott has.
Truth be told, it seemed like Prescott was going to be one of the next stars of the game.
The Cowboys didn’t hesitate to pull the plug on Tony Romo when he burst onto the scene, and he did have some impressive numbers and very good moments.
Jerry Jones might have to make a decision if Prescott ends up showing any kind of regression in 2023.
