For years, the Los Angeles Rams knocked on the door of Super Bowl contention, even reaching the big game but falling short of their goal.
The main hurdle they needed to get past was their struggles at the quarterback position, and it didn’t take long before Matthew Stafford proved to be their savior.
Nonetheless, following his remarkable first season with the Rams, Stafford struggled mightily with injuries last season.
The Rams were far from a contending team, and they got rid of some of their best players for salary cap purposes.
That could lead to some major communication issues next season, as Stafford just admitted on his wife’s podcast that he has had a very tough time connecting with his younger teammates (via Dov Kleiman).
Update: #Rams QB Matthew Stafford admittedly has a tough time connecting with his younger teammates on the team.
“I don’t know how to lead people I have no connection with. I have to somehow find a way to connect with them.”

Stafford claims that he cannot lead people with whom he has no connection.
He even reached out to their equipment manager to ask him for a book full of their faces and names so he could learn the names to try and reach out to them.
Stafford has always been a respected figure in the league and a guy who leads by example.
He’s tough as nails, plays through injury, and has a remarkable work ethic.
It shouldn’t take long before the rest of his teammates also get in line and up to speed with what he wants from them.
But not knowing his teammates’ names just a handful of days away from the start of the NFL season leaves a lot to be desired for their starting quarterback.
