Ronald Acuna Jr. has been the most dynamic and spectacular player on the Atlanta Braves roster this season.

He is a legitimate MVP candidate: his batting average is an incredible .335, he owns a fantastic .989 OPS, and he is one home run away from becoming the first 30-60 player in the history of the game.

He hit homer number 29 on Monday, and reached 61 stolen bases.

Obviously, he has become a fan favorite in Atlanta.

This is usually great: there is nothing like having the respect, love, and admiration from supporters.

However, a group of fans crossed the line in the Braves’ most recent game.

“This is MADNESS. Fans came out the field and basically tackled Ronald Acuña Jr in the outfield,” MLB analyst Ben Verlander tweeted.

It was definitely a scary scene: they could have seriously hurt Acuna.

It happened between innings, and some Braves teammates came to Acuna’s aid when they realized what was happening.

Both the stadium security and the fans were bad in this case.

Acuna remains on a personal quest to hit 40 home runs and steal 70 bases.

He will need to pick up the pace in the power department to make that happen, but one more would give him 30 and a unique place in MLB history.

It’s sad to think that if a couple of fans would have had bad intentions, they could have inflicted some damage on his body.
