The Philadelphia Eagles made a huge financial commitment to Jalen Hurts, and rightfully so.
Hurts was the most improved player in the game last season, and he finally showed to be capable of handling an NFL-style offense at the highest level.
However, as much as people are ready to put him in the MVP conversation ahead of the upcoming season again, Keyshawn Johnson wants to put the brakes on the hype a little.
The former NFL star claimed that, even though it’s unfair to say Hurts is 10th in the quarterback list, he’s not a top-two quarterback either.
.@keyshawn is not ready to rank Jalen Hurts as the NFL’s second-best QB:
“He ain’t 10, but he ain’t 2 either. You still got Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and we haven’t talked about Lamar Jackson.” pic.twitter.com/4q2ztzu8Gf

In the latest edition of Undisputed, Johnson put Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackon, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow all ahead of Hurts.
And while a lot of that could be subjective, it’s hard to make a case for Hurts over every single one of the guys he mentioned in that list.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Hurts isn’t a superstar or that he’s not good enough to earn his stripes and become the undisputed 1B to Patrick Mahomes’ 1A, but he just has to prove it on the field.
Hurts and the Eagles will be the team to beat in the NFC again next season.
Another year of incredible numbers and having the best record in his conference could leapfrog Hurts on that list.
But for now, maybe we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves with him as a top-two or top-three guy.
