Even though the Dallas Mavericks haven’t played for a while, their fans have enjoyed some fine hoops as of late.
Mavericks star Luka Doncic has been on a roll since he joined the national team earlier in the summer, looking slimmer than ever and in the best shape of his career.
That has helped him dominate his competition during the FIBA World Cup.
He was at his best again in Slovenia’s convincing 92-77 win over Cape Verde.
As pointed out by StatMuse, the former Real Madrid star led his team in points (19), rebounds (7), assists (9), and steals (4), and fans obviously had a lot to say about that.

This isn’t anything new for Doncic, perhaps one of the most versatile offensive forces in the league right now.
He’s one of the most impactful players in the game, and he’s used to doing most of the heavy lifting for his team.
That’s why some doubt his ability to coexist with another ball-dominant backcourt player like Kyrie Irving.
The Mavericks hope that their new roster can help make up for their backcourt’s defensive flaws, knowing that Irving and Doncic can go off for 60 combined points on any given night.
But the early results of that experiment weren’t exactly good, as the Mavs slid in the standings since Irving’s arrival, up to the point where they didn’t even try and compete for a spot in the Play-in tournament.
Still, with Doncic keeping this up and playing at his usual level, it’ll always be hard to put your money against him, and he’s just going to get better.
