The 2023 season represents a shift in offensive philosophy for the Baltimore Ravens as they appear dedicated to throwing the football more.

The Ravens brought in Todd Monken to be their new offensive coordinator and his scheme is projected to be vastly different than Greg Roman’s who instituted a heavy dose of running plays.

With Lamar Jackson at quarterback, it’s hard not to want to run the football as he is great at making plays with his legs.

However, the emphasis on the ground game has given media and fans the impression that Jackson is unable to pass but that’s not true as he’s been an accurate quarterback over the years.

Baltimore further enforced the idea that they’ll be a passing-centric offense by adding Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency and drafting Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

With more weapons to use, former players like Bucky Brooks believe that it’s Super Bowl or bust for Jackson and the Ravens via Speak.

“I don’t care what it looks like, I know when we tee it off in the middle of February, I better see the Baltimore Ravens playing representing the AFC,” Brooks said.

Brooks argues that the knock on Baltimore’s offense was that they didn’t have capable receivers, though that’s not the case anymore.

Beckham and Flowers join Rashod Batemon and Mark Andrews, forming what looks like one of the best receiving corps in the league.

Jackson has the tools to be great and succeed, and it’ll be interesting to see how he fares with more talent around him.
