The Atlanta Braves have without a doubt been the best team in all of baseball this season.
They currently own the best record in the entire league with an 87-45 mark and have a 13.5-game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East.
One of many strengths the Braves have shown this season is their ability to hit for power.
In fact, according to Sarah Langs, they are approaching a historic mark in terms of home runs hit during the regular season.
The 2019 Minnesota Twins set a single-season record with 307 home runs.
On Twitter, Langs noted how close the Braves are to potentially tying or breaking that record.

Through the first 132 games of this season, the Braves have hit 250 home runs.
Through 132 games in 2019, the Twins had hit 258 homers.
The similarities are quite striking between the two teams in terms of their power numbers.
The Twins had a solid lineup that featured Nelson Cruz, Miguel Sano, Byron Buxton, C.J. Cron, Mitch Garver, and Eddie Rosario.
That team won 101 games.
The Braves have one holdover from that Twins team in Rosario, but they also have stars such as Ronald Acuna Jr., Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, Travis d’Arnaud, Michael Harris II, and Marcell Ozuna.
With just 30 games left in the season, the Braves aren’t too far off of the Twins’ mark from 2019, and it will be interesting to see if they can ultimately come closer to the record and potentially tie or break it.
We’ll see how the rest of the season shakes out for the Braves.
