Making the adjustment from NBA basketball to FIBA isn’t for everybody, and talent isn’t enough.

The players need to work hard and sometimes embrace different and lesser roles for the sake of the team, and not everybody’s willing to do that.

However, that hasn’t been the case with this group of young players for Team USA.

According to assistant coach Tyronn Lue and his latest interview for SiriusXM NBA Radio, the group has been phenomenal in the sense that they’ve all bought in to the system and have been willing to do whatever has been asked of them.

The players also seem to be uplifting each other, putting their NBA rivalries aside to try and bring the best out of their teammates and rooting for them when they do something well.

Most of the time, Team USA features bona fide players who are more mature and experienced.

They’ve been through multiple competitions like that, so they don’t usually let egos stand in their way, at least when it comes to the national team.

We even saw prime Dwyane Wade agreeing to come off the bench out of respect for Kobe Bryant, who was also on the team.

There were some concerns about that with this group of youngsters, as none of them had already established themselves as marquee names in the league, and internal competition could’ve been an issue.

Fortunately for them, that wasn’t the case, as this group of guys is actually rooting for each other, and that’s all you can ask of a team.
