The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a forgettable season that turned out to be a disaster due to injuries to key players on both sides of the football.

The team’s title defense got derailed quickly, as the Rams didn’t look like the same team, nor did they have the passion that was comparable to their championship team.

Coming into the 2023 NFL season, Sean McVay and company hope to turn things around and get back on track as a playoff team in the NFC, but things have already gotten off to a rough start even before the team’s first snap.

Along with the recent news of veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford struggling to connect with his teammates in Los Angeles, his best weapon on offense has suffered a setback from a hamstring injury, with superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp being listed as day-to-day, according to Ari Meirov.

Kupp initially injured his hamstring on August 1, but these injuries can be tricky, as it doesn’t take much to reinjure because players can think they’re ready to go until they go full speed and easily tweak the hamstring again.

The real question now is whether this injury will linger into the regular season, and depending on his severity, it probably will, which obviously puts Week 1 in doubt.

If the Rams have to start the season without Kupp, it could be a rough beginning to the 2023 campaign, as the team will take on the division rival Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 on the road.
