Throughout the NBA offseason, many athletes find themselves on podcasts discussing the upcoming year.

This has provided a platform for players to talk in a more relaxed environment, rather than a stuffy press conference.

Podcasts have provided some hilarious moments during the offseason, as well as sound bites that go viral.

On a recent appearance on “The Uncomfortable Pod,” Chicago Bulls big man Andre Drummond made a statement that has since gone viral.

“I think I have a chance to be a Hall of Fame player due to what I have done in my career,” Drummond said.

Drummond is entering his 12th NBA Season in 2023, his second with the Bulls.

He believes that he could be inducted into the Hall of Fame, a statement that has been refuted by many.

Drummond is a two-time All-Star, has been the NBA’s rebounding leader in four seasons, and was once a member of the All-NBA third team.

When looking at Drummond’s career achievements versus some of the recent inductees, he might have a ways to go.

Take Pau Gasol, for example.

Gasol was inducted into the Hall of Fame this season.

Throughout his career, Gasol won two NBA Finals and was a six-time All-Star, the Rookie of the Year in 2003, among other accolades.

Another recent inductee at the position, Ben Wallace, posted similar numbers.

Wallace won the NBA Finals in 2004, was a four-time All-Star, and won the Defensive Player of the Year award four times.

This is not to assert that Drummond isn’t a good player, but recent history might indicate that he will not make it into the Hall of Fame.
