It’s been a tough week for the Los Angeles Rams, Matthew Stafford, and his wife, Kelly.
Last week, Stafford’s significant other went on record to state that the veteran quarterback has had some issues connecting with his younger teammates, stating that he’s trying to go the extra mile to learn their names and their interests.
Kelly admitted that Matthew felt like he was struggling to connect with younger teammates, raising some concerns among the fan base.
That’s why Kelly admitted she regretted making those comments on her podcast, stating that she had ‘put her foot in her mouth,’ according to Christy McDonald (via The Score).

Of course, perhaps Kelly was just trying to uplift her husband and praise his leadership skills, making it seem like he was putting in extra work to try and do what was best for his team.
But some made it seem like Stafford isn’t comfortable there or that the Rams had some sort of chemistry issues, and even though they can go on the record to dismiss that narrative, it’s going to be quite difficult to make it go away.
Likewise, some of Stafford’s teammates may have taken those comments the wrong way, so it definitely wasn’t in her husband’s best interest.
Even so, this can all disappear and will be meaningless if the Rams win some football games.
And while they’re not projected to be a contender next season, we’ve seen crazier things happen.
