Ronald Acuna Jr. had himself a night to remember in Los Angeles on Thursday.
With one swing of the bat, the Atlanta Braves star and MVP candidate created his own historic club, becoming the first player in baseball history to hit 30 home runs and steal 60 bases in the same season.
Understandably, Acuna is right in the mix for MVP consideration thanks to his historic season.
It’s been a wild ride for the Braves slugger, but he’s on pace to finish with some impressive stats, and there is still one month to go in the season.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale of USA Today congratulated the Braves star on his historic accomplishment.
Congratulations Ronald Acuna Jr., the inaugural member of the 30 HR-60 stolen base club.
Surreal season, with a month still to play.

With one month still remaining in the season, Acuna is far from finished.
The month of September has officially arrived, and now things will get interesting.
The Braves are already a lock for the postseason, as they hold an 88-45 record, which is the best in all of baseball.
However, Acuna still has a month to ensure his place as the potential NL MVP.
He is a four-time All-Star, a two-time Silver Slugger, and was the NL Rookie of the Year in 2018.
With the way he has performed this year, he may be adding some more hardware to his collection before everything is all said and done.
It will be interesting to see if Acuna can keep this up and continue producing.
