The AFC East could be the most competitive division in the NFL this season, and there is lots of intrigue over how the division will play out over the next four months.

Much of the attention there is focused on the New York Jets and their new squeeze, Aaron Rodgers, who seems revitalized.

The Miami Dolphins, despite being without star cornerback Jalen Ramsey until December, think of themselves as contenders, and of course, the Buffalo Bills have been title contenders for the last few years.

But analyst Chris Brockman thinks the New England Patriots will be the second-best team in the division, and he even claimed that they improved this offseason more than any other team in the division.

At long last, we predict the unpredictable — the AFC East.

Brockman also added that he feels the Jets, whom many feel have Super Bowl potential, won’t be all that.

New England went out during the offseason and added wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is fresh off being the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs’ most productive wideout during the 2022 season.

They also brought in tight end Mike Gesicki, who will give them added depth at the position behind starter Hunter Henry.

Brockman feels that quarterback Mac Jones will be “much improved” after a dismal second season in the pros in which he threw for 2,997 yards and just 14 touchdown passes.

Jones did make the Pro Bowl as a rookie, but if he is indeed the Patriots’ franchise quarterback moving forward, he will have to prove it this season, as year 3 is traditionally a prove-it year for NFL signal-callers.
