The New York Yankees finally decided to stop using some ineffective veterans and prioritize some of their top prospects.
The team now looks more athletic, balanced, and with much more potential.
Their 7-3 record over their last 10 games is definitely not a coincidence: Austin Wells, Jasson Dominguez, Everson Pereira, Oswald Peraza, and Anthony Volpe are giving the Yankees five rookies playing almost every day.
Dominguez in particular has been very impressive.
After hitting 15 homers and stealing 37 bases in Double-A, he had a productive nine-game stint in Triple-A before getting the call to the majors.
In his first weekend as a Yankee, he homered twice against the Houston Astros (one versus future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander).
He became the first Yankee to homer in two of his first three career games since a current star and one of his teammates.

Judge had an explosive 2017 in which he had a 1.049 OPS and 52 home runs.
Before that, in 2016, he had his cup of coffee with the Yankees in September.
Overall, he struggled with a .608 OPS in 27 games, but his first three games offered a glimpse of his vast potential.
Dominguez is, after his first weekend, slashing .231/.231/.692 with three hits (two home runs) and a .923 OPS.
He also has four RBI and struck out twice in three games.
The “Martian” is one of the toolsiest players in baseball and could one day become a 25-homer, 40-steal guy with the ability to defend center field.
Those players don’t grow on trees.
