With no NBA on right now, fans from all over the world have set all eyes on the FIBA Basketball World Cup’s knockout stage.
They got a big treat today, as Slovenia and Canada squared off for a ticket to the semifinals.
As expected, the Canadian side wound up getting the best of their European counterpart, but the game was physical, and hard-fought, and had a little bit of everything.
As a matter of fact, both Dillon Brooks and Luka Doncic wound up being ejected for technical fouls, which was far from a surprise to fans on social media.

Luka has to stay composed. Slovenia could’ve made a run with Brooks thrown out.

Fully deserved for both

Doncic spent the entire game complaining to the referees, and that has been a major talking point and issue with him since he first entered the league.
He stopped playing defense to complain to the refs, talking after every call and no-call, and getting on their nerves.
One could argue that Lu Dort did foul him when he was ejected for his second technical foul, but he’s going to have to work on his temper as he keeps developing his game.
As for Brooks, that wasn’t much of a surprise about him being ejected either.
He’s made a name for himself for being a relentless trash-talker and the kind of guy who’ll always look to get under everybody’s skin, regardless of the repercussions.
At the end of the day, Brooks did his job, all while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and RJ Barrett were slowly taking control of the game.
