The Minnesota Vikings lost two big pieces on offense this offseason when wide receiver Adam Thielen and running back Dalvin Cook both departed.

But they may have a nice replacement for Thielen in Jordan Addison, who was the No. 23 pick in April’s draft.

He says that he is looking forward to playing alongside Justin Jefferson and that he believes he will receive a lot of one-on-one matchups, and that he must make sure he wins those matchups against opposing defensive backs, via ProFootballTalk.

Addison, who stands six-feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, had 875 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns with USC last season.

In 2021, as a member of the Pittsburgh Panthers, he put up 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Addison will need to emerge pretty quickly if the Vikings are to retain their spot at the top of the NFC North, especially with all the hype surrounding the Detroit Lions, who look to have the best roster in the division.

Jefferson is simply a force to be reckoned with, and at age 24, he may improve on what he did in 2022 when he led the NFL with 1,809 receiving yards.

Whenever he faces double coverage, Addison should have an opportunity to make some relatively easy receptions while making a nice impression on his new teammates and coaching staff.

His first training camp was marred with a bit of controversy, as he was cited for reckless driving just prior to reporting after allegedly going 140 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

But now it is time for him to focus on becoming an NFL star.
