After a long-awaited and drawn-out process, the Washington Commanders have a new owner.

Josh Harris’ group has taken over, hoping to solve some of the organization’s recent woes.

Commanders fans don’t know much about Harris, who has been mostly quiet in the news in the early days of his tenure.

However, Harris was recently interviewed by Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, which was shared via Pro Football Talk.

In this interview, Harris discussed head coach Ron Rivera, calling him a “good man,” something he has picked up on when getting to know him.

While Harris might be fond of Rivera, he was quick to talk about what his expectations are for the upcoming season.

“We all realize that ultimately we have to deliver wins on the field, so you don’t really need to say anything,” Harris said.

Rivera has been lauded as a player’s coach throughout his career and a valued leader.

The Commanders are coming off an 8-8-1 season, the lone NFC East team to miss the playoffs.

Of course, they had a lot of organizational challenges that played into their downfall.

With any luck, Harris’ ownership group will provide a much more stable environment, one that gives the Commanders the best chance of success.

Their on-field product has been a mixed bag, which has mainly stemmed from shaky quarterback play.

In today’s NFL, having stability in this position is paramount.

They have handed the keys over to young Sam Howell, who will get his first opportunity as a full-time starter.

Can he and Rivera do enough this season to hold on to their jobs?
