After a long-awaited and drawn-out process, the Washington Commanders are officially under new leadership.

Josh Harris and the rest of the ownership group are determined to turn this franchise around.

While Harris may be the majority owner of the team, several others have minority stakes, including Magic Johnson.

According to a photo shared via the Commanders’ official page, Johnson was seen visiting with some players during a recent practice.

Johnson is a five-time NBA Champion, a three-time NBA Finals MVP, and a 12-time All-Star, along with many other accolades.

He knows what it takes to win, adopting a mindset that gives athletes an edge over their competitors.

His presence as a member of the organization should allow lots of insight for their current players who hope to be a part of this change.

The Commanders finished the 2022 season with an 8-8-1 record, the only NFC East team to miss the playoffs.

Many around the league believe they have a lot of great athletes on the roster but haven’t been able to bring everyone together for meaningful wins.

Part of their problem in recent history could have stemmed from their dysfunctional front office.

While the behind-the-scenes woes of the organization were happening, the on-field product hasn’t been what the team has expected.

Johnson and Harris’ presence should help tremendously for a young team looking to get back on track.

Many believe there are still a lot of holes to fill for the Commanders, and they could have an uphill road to success.

Will this new ownership group turn this team around in year one?
