When the NFL schedule came out and fans found out that the Kansas City Chiefs were set to face the Detroit Lions for the season opener, some of them were critical and disappointed.
The Lions heard all the noise and came ready to play right out of the gate, embracing the challenge head on, not letting some early-game mistakes get into their heads, and stealing a huge win on the road.
That’s why Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young took to Twitter to give them their flowers, also praising HC Dan Campbell for a job well done.

Truth be told, Campbell deserves a lot of credit for the major culture turnaround he’s done in the organization.
Even though the team was one of the worst in the league when he took over, it became evident that he actually cared, and he wasn’t there to tank and pile up picks.
The Lions got off to another slow start to the season in 2022 before closing out the year on a very high note, and it seems like they’re ready to pick up things where they left them.
The hype is real in Michigan, as they sold out their season tickets for the first time since they started playing in Ford Field, and you can see why now.
Their offseason additions were crucial, and their defense looked quite solid vs. Andy Reid’s team.
The Lions are the oddsmakers’ favorites to win the NFC North, and taking down the reigning Super Bowl champions showed why.
