MLB has had numerous stars over the years.
Not all of them, however, like to become involved in community work and activities of that kind which is fine, but it adds more value to those who choose to help their surroundings.
New York Yankees star Aaron Judge has taken advantage of his fame, fortune, and status as an MLB global star to help the community through his All Rise Foundation.
His work has resulted in a nomination for the Roberto Clemente Award.
“The Roberto Clemente Award goes to the player who best represents baseball through character, community involvement & philanthropy. For his @AllRiseOfficial Foundation and his work in the community, Aaron Judge is our nominee,” the Yankees’ official account tweeted.

The All Rise Foundation aims to inspire young kids to become better citizens by engaging them in different activities.
They have aspiring leadership programs, different types of camps, the Leadership Library, Webinars, the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Book Club, and other related activities.
A Yankees player hasn’t won the Roberto Clemente Award since 2009, when Derek Jeter took it with his Turn 2 foundation.
Media and fans vote for the 30 nominees: one from each team.
The award is named after Roberto Clemente because he was, in addition to a baseball star, a philanthropist who actually died while helping victims of a Nicaragua earthquake in 1972.
