After only three seasons in the NFL, Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson is already widely considered to be the best player at the wide receiver position in the league.
Although Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders is still playing at a high level and is in contention for the distinction even in his current situation on a bad team, Jefferson is doing things that defy logic, with his numbers being on another level entirely.
Jefferson has not only dominated the competition every single year he’s been catching passes from Kirk Cousins in Minnesota but he’s improved considerably from year to year, which is unheard of when looking at it from a numbers perspective.
The three-time Pro Bowler is coming off a season in which he caught 128 passes for 1,809 yards and nine touchdowns.
With Jefferson doing things the league has never seen, he’d like to get compensation for the production on the field by signing a contract extension, but he will admittedly leave it up to the team to figure that out, as he told ESPN via JPAFootball.

With Jefferson putting up ridiculous numbers from season to season, he will easily become the highest-paid wide receiver in the game and could reset the market by a wide margin.
Every year, he’s bumped up his receiving yards by nearly 200 yards, and it seems as though the sky is the limit for the 24-year-old out of LSU.
Only time will tell when Jefferson will get that contract extension and if he can keep up this kind of production for the Vikings moving forward.
