The New York Jets will look much different in the 2023 season after they made a big move at quarterback.
The Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers in a trade with the Green Bay Packers and they are expected to make some serious noise this season.
The Jets will have a great litmus test in Week 1 when they host the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
It will be a great AFC East battle, in what could end up being the two top teams in the division this year.
The game will be played on 9/11 which is the 22nd anniversary of the tragic day in New York.
According to Rich Cimini, the Jets will have former quarterback Vinny Testaverde as honorary captain.
That is fitting because Testaverde played a big role in having games postponed in 2001.
Testaverde will be the Jets’ honorary captain on Monday night, the #Jets announce. Fitting. He was the Jets’ QB in 2001 and was instrumental in the team’s decision — and, ultimately, the NFL’s decision — to postpone the games in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. https://t.co/qfKANq1PCg

The Jets at home on 9/11? That is a game they cannot lose.
Not only is it their home opener against a division rival, but the day it is being played has to factor in.
This will be the first chance everyone gets to see what the Jets are made of.
The Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last few years.
Even though it is only Week 1, this is a significant game for both teams.
